DCS Corp provides software engineering solutions to our customers including software development, software process improvement, software verification, validation and certification, and software sustainment.
For software development, we use an iterative and agile process that addresses input from key stakeholders, while methodically ensuring that all requirements are accounted for throughout the project life cycle. Our approach benefits stakeholders by soliciting and coordinating input at each step of the process, and provides visibility into those requirements that are met by each software development effort.
We have been performing disciplined software process improvement efforts for our own organization and for our customers for over fifteen years. These efforts, based on the Software Engineering Institute Capability Maturity Model / Integration (CMMI), have resulted in a successful Maturity Level III appraisal for one of our software engineering organizations, and successful Maturity Level 3 through 5 appraisals for customer organizations.
Our Software Engineering Approach
Our software engineers perform independent verification, validation and certification services for a variety of customers acquiring software-intensive systems. Our approach, based on IEEE Standard 1012, uses powerful automated tools to augment software engineering analysis to perform in-phase evaluations of all software engineering products (requirements through test). We also provide certification recommendations based on our thorough qualitative and quantitative assessments of software quality, reliability and maintainability.
DCS Corp provides software sustainment engineering services including sustainment planning, change request analysis, software maintenance and software improvement that includes functional enhancements and upgrades to meet emerging information assurance and other certification requirements.
Our Programs and Products
- We are the prime contractor of the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) Weapons Systems Integration Support Services (WSISS) contract that provides software development, systems integration, test and programmatic support for avionics, weapons, and electronic warfare systems for the F/A-18, AV-8, AH-1, Joint Strike Fighter, and F-22 aircraft and Unmanned Air Systems.
- We have been the principal software development contractor for the Navy’s Weaponeering and Stores Planning (WASP) system since 1998. WASP is the primary mission planning application for F/A-18 Interdiction and other missions involving air-to-surface weapons employment.
