Mike Gilkey serves as Executive Vice President and Manager of DCS’s Air and Space Technology sector. As Sector Manager, Mike oversees AST’s Human Systems Division, Digital Engineering & Intelligence Division, Future Capabilities Division and Air and Space Analytics Division. Since joining DCS in 2010, Mike has been a driving force behind the company’s technical growth, strategic expansion, and commitment to delivering high impact support to defense and government customers. Mike began his DCS career as a subject matter expert in airborne sensor exploitation and combat identification technology at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Sensors Directorate. In 2017, he was promoted to Vice President and Division Manager, where he led a geographically distributed team headquartered in Dayton. Under his leadership, teams delivered advanced research, air and space analysis, modeling and simulation, materials engineering and software development capabilities to customers including the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
With B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering and more than 42 years of experience supporting the DoD and other government partners, Mike has held previous leadership roles at Wyle Laboratories and SAIC, where he guided high-performing, technical teams and oversaw complex R&D portfolios.
