ALEXANDRIA, VA – July 7, 2014 – DCS has announced that the company received a task order award under the AMCOM Express Blanket Purchase Agreement supporting the US Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command, Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center (AMRDEC), System Simulation and Development Directorate. The Directorate provides various types of simulation support to all branches of the Armed Services, multiple Program Offices and others for development and improvements to their systems.
Under the task order, DCS will provide technical expertise in support of Air and Missile Defense (AMD) weapon system analysis using modeling and simulation tools and techniques. The task order has a five year period of performance, including options, and a not to exceed ceiling price of approximately $90 million.
“While DCS has had a longstanding relationship with AMRDEC, the modeling and simulation solutions we will provide under this task order represent an opportunity for our employee-owners to showcase their technical prowess in an area where we have not previously provided support to AMRDEC,” said Dave Russell, President and Chief Operating Officer. “We have a deep bench of modeling and simulation experts, and we are eager to demonstrate our leadership in this field.”
Work under this task order will be managed from DCS’s Huntsville, AL office.
